Check compatibility
Feb 28, 2019 For CUDA developers who are on macOS 10.13, it is recommended to not upgrade to Mojave. Developers may not be able to use Xcode 10 to build GPU applications or run CUDA applications. Both macOS 10.13.6 and Xcode 9.4 support CUDA and work great with CUDA 10. NVIDIA is working with Apple to get Mojave to support CUDA. Sep 30, 2018 As I have already posted on other Nvidia Mojave related threads. We are not going to see a Mojave WebDriver form Nidia anytime soon, this time Nvidia will have to write all new drivers from the ground up to support Apple's new Metal 2 API which will not be a simple or trivial task, it's going to take weeks if not months. September 9th 2018. An Nvidia representative posts onto the devtalk forum that “Apple fully control drivers for Mac OS. But if Apple allows, our engineers are ready and eager to help Apple deliver great drivers for Mac OS 10.14 (Mojave).”. They just didn’t focus on the drivers for Mac as much. Now there’s the churning long wait for them to release new drivers and when they will be ready Mac OS 15.0 will be around the corner. If you plan on using CUDA - go to Windows and PC, you’re on a safer path that way. I don’t use CUDA, but I do need eGPU for Video and Photo editing.
